You will learn here how to assign the number of cycles your Mac notebook's battery has.
Everything about battery cycles
When you are using your Mac notebook, the battery of your Mac starts its charge cycles. A charge cycle happens when you use whole battery’s power—but that doesn’t mean a single charge exactly.
For instance, when you use half of your notebook's charge in a day, and after that recharge it completely. If you did the same thing the next day, it would count as one charge cycle, not two. as a result, it might take several days to finish a cycle.
You should know that, batteries have a limited charge cycles before they're considered to be used. For example, once used, a replacement battery is suggested. You can use your battery after it reaches its maximum cycle count, but you might notice a reduction in your battery life.
It’s really important that you know how many charge cycles your battery cover and how many are remaining, because it can really help you to define when a battery replacement is needed. For the best performance, you should replace your battery when you reach its maximum cycle count.
Pay enough attention to these following steps in order to get enough information about your Mac notebook battery, in addition its cycle count:
- Hold the Option key and click the Apple () menu. Choose System Information.
